An international organization based in Geneva is seeking a Finance Clerk to provide temporary support in its Payroll and Benefits Unit. This role is part of a backfill plan due to the implementation of a new ERP system and is essential to ensure the smooth continuation of payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process financial data such as invoices and vouchers, ensuring compliance with internal rules and anti-fraud procedures.
- Enter and update accounting records (e.g. vendor data, purchase orders, payments), and assist with document matching.
- Collaborate with HR to calculate, verify, and process payroll and related indemnities.
- Monitor payments and perform regular account reconciliations.
- Help improve and test payroll-related financial systems and databases.
- Compile and analyze financial and statistical data related to payroll, entitlements, reimbursements, and expenses.
- Identify and resolve data entry or accounting discrepancies; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Respond to internal queries by email or phone; provide clarification on financial rules and procedures.
- Support the development and updating of internal controls; provide guidance to colleagues on procedures.
- Perform other related administrative and finance tasks as required.
Profile
- First-level university degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level required) and good knowledge of French.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) in billing or accounts receivable is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented, adaptable, and detail-focused.
Benefits
Contract duration :
6 months, from 1 July to 31 December.
Hourly wage :
CHF 35.10
